One minute...
A book caught my attention today in the library, which I read thru with one breath and which made my day happier. This was "The One Minute Manager" by Spencer Johnson and Kenneth Blanchard.
Some really simple truths:
1) Set one minute goals
a) WRITE down goals for your MAIN responsibilities
b) ONE goal per ONE sheet of paper
c) word it with NO more than 250 words -> be able to read it within a minute
2) Give one minute recognition
a) do it AS SOON AS person has done something good and/or right
b) turn special attention to new people and when new tasks are to be done
c) it shoudln't take more than a minute to do that
3) Give one minute reprehension (not sure if it's the exact word)
a) do it AS SOON AS person has done something wrong
b) be straight and honest
c) it shouldn't take more than a minute to do that
d) after you've finished, it's done and you shouldn't return to the same topic any more
Well, I did get some inspiration. Hope you too! And read the book!
